Frequently asked questions

Answers to Questions that Fruition Parents and Carers and Teachers Commonly Ask . . .

What happens if my child is sick or misses a lesson for some reason?

Fruition asks that you call your centre manager to let us know. For computer based learners there will be no penalty; so long as the lesson is made up within three working days.
For one to one learners, you are required to give 24 hour notice otherwise we will have to charge you as the tutor will need to be paid.

What happens when we go on holidays and we need to miss a few weeks?

Fruition asks that you inform your centre manager in advance and that your child completes additional hours before and after your holiday to ensure the usual quota of lessons are completed in order to not interfere with the Fruition Promise and the attainment of the learning goals agreed upon.  (Please use the centre number.)

What happens if my child is sick for a few weeks?

There are no penalties – Fruition understands that people become sick sometimes. When your child recovers, we would recommend that you use a school holiday period to catch up on the lessons missed in order to fulfil the original goal (if possible).

What happens if there is infrequent attendance?

Fruition will be reasonable. Some learners have chronic illness and we will be understanding.
However, if the irregular attendance is not due to illness or the like, and if this irregular attendance affects the child’s progress and jeopardises the learning outcomes, we will ask to meet with you or we will call you. We may have to debit hours for repeated non-attendance that is not immediately rebooked and rectified.

What happens if my child misses a tutorial (traditional 1:1 tuition)?

Fruition requests 24 hour notice be given, so that the tutor can be contacted and other arrangements be made. If insufficient notice is given, and the tutor attends the lesson, we will have to pay them and therefore we will have to charge you. (Of course there are exceptional circumstances – road accidents, serious injury, critical medical circumstances, in which case Fruition would compassionately waive the charges.)

What happens if I am unhappy about some aspect of my child’s course?

Fruition encourages you to raise any concerns with us as soon as possible. We understand that feedback is a critical link in the learning process and if we can communicate openly with one another we are likely to be able to sort things out and thus prevent a larger problem to deal with later on.

What happens if I wish to quit the course early, before my child reaches their goal or before the expected date of completion of the learning program or while there are hours in credit?

Fruition requests that you meet with us, so that we can listen to your concerns.

Fruition will do everything possible to inspire your child: to provide them with significant learning outcomes - increased understandings, enhanced skills, improved self-esteem, independent learning strategies, improved concentration, etc., - to help them be more successful and to fulfil their potential.

If, for some reason, Fruition has not fulfilled its obligations to you, there will be no penalty for withdrawal from the program and we will refund you the balance of hours remaining.

However, if Fruition is delivering high quality learning outcomes for your child and you wish to quit the program, then we require you to put your request in writing to us and give us 30 days notice. There will be no refund. Fruition will hold the hours in credit indefinitely for you to use. The hours are transferable and can be used by another learner or in other ways. Fruition will not quit its promise to you to do whatever it takes to help your child be the best that they can be.

If you have a question that is not answered here please do not hesitate to ask your centre manager. We will be only too happy to assist you.
